# Overview

The BundleUp Proxy is the execution layer that sits between your application and third-party APIs. It handles authentication, retries, rate limiting, logging, and credential management so you don’t have to rebuild that logic for every integration.

It runs on a **globally distributed edge worker**, so requests are executed close to the upstream API with low latency and predictable performance. You send a request once. BundleUp makes it reliable.
